For lawyers, creditors & liquidators · SPF-licensed
Litigation Support & Asset Tracing in SingaporeWhen accuracy is non-negotiable, precision is our standard.
Witnesses and defendants found, process serving facilitated, assets traced and devices forensically examined — all gathered lawfully and reported to an affidavit-ready standard for your legal team.
Litigation support is investigative help for a legal matter — locating witnesses and defendants, facilitating process serving, gathering lawful evidence and examining devices the client owns. Asset tracing identifies what a person or company owns from official records such as ACRA, SLA and LTA, so lawyers and creditors can decide whether and how to enforce.

What we do
Litigation support, from witness location to cross-border investigation
Five specialist capabilities, one licensed team and one reporting standard. Choose one to see what’s involved.
Facts your legal team can stand on — located, verified and documented.
Investigative assistance for law firms and legal professionals: witness location, field enquiries, voluntary statements and court-ready documentation. Where relevant, lawful observation in public places helps test the other side’s account.
Commonly used for
- Witness location & interviews
- Voluntary statements, properly recorded
- Field enquiries & address verification
- Court-ready documentation
A judgment is only worth what you can enforce.
We locate and document assets through ACRA directorship records, Singapore Land Authority property ownership, LTA vehicle records, court judgments and open-source intelligence. We do not access private financial accounts without legal authority.
Commonly used for
- Pre-action asset snapshots
- Post-judgment enforcement tracing
- Skip tracing absconded debtors
- Periodic re-checks for new assets
The right person, at the right place — ready for service.
We facilitate process serving; we do not serve court documents ourselves. For originating processes, summonses, statutory demands and other court documents, we help your solicitor or appointed process server reach the right person: locating hard-to-find parties, verifying a current address and when they are likely to be there, and coordinating the attempts. Our findings are documented by date, time and place to support an affidavit of service where required.
Commonly used for
- Locating evasive and hard-to-find parties
- Address and routine verified before service
- Coordination with your appointed process server
- Documented findings to support affidavits of service
What the device remembers — lawfully recovered.
Forensic analysis conducted exclusively on devices where the client has lawful ownership or authorised access — company laptops, phones and storage media. We recover deleted files, examine devices, document digital fraud and analyse data breaches, preserving integrity for use in proceedings.
Commonly used for
- Deleted file recovery
- Device forensics (lawful access only)
- Digital fraud documentation
- Data breach analysis
When the trail leaves Singapore, it doesn’t go cold.
We extend investigations beyond Singapore through vetted, licensed partner agencies across Asia and beyond — with unified case management and one consolidated report from Ranger.
Commonly used for
- Malaysia & regional enquiries
- Overseas asset & witness tracing
- One point of contact
- Unified reporting standard

Turning a judgment into recovery
A judgment on paper is only the start. Post-judgment enforcement depends on knowing what the debtor owns — and where they are.
- Asset tracing for enforcementProperty, vehicles, business interests and lifestyle indicators documented from lawful sources.
- Skip tracing the debtorLocating a debtor who has moved, changed jobs or gone quiet — in Singapore or, through partners, overseas.
- Process serving facilitationLocating evasive parties so enforcement papers and related court documents can be served by the appointed process server.
- Periodic re-checksFresh searches for new directorships or property changes when an earlier trace came up short.
Please don’t send privileged documents by WhatsApp. We’ll arrange a secure way to receive them.
Finding the people and assets that matter
Administrators, executors and insolvency practitioners often start with gaps. We help fill them with verified, documented facts.
- Tracing beneficiariesLocating next of kin and named beneficiaries, including those who have moved overseas.
- Locating estate assetsIdentifying property, vehicles and business interests linked to the deceased or the company.
- Former directors and officersFinding and verifying the whereabouts of people a liquidator needs to speak to.
- Transfers worth a closer lookDocumenting from official records where property or interests changed hands before insolvency.
Please don’t send privileged documents by WhatsApp. We’ll arrange a secure way to receive them.
Singapore context
Asset tracing in Singapore: the lawful record trail
Singapore keeps good public records. Knowing which ones matter — and how to read them together — is where experience counts. Every finding is referenced back to its source.
| Source | What it can show | How it helps your matter |
|---|---|---|
| ACRABizfile records | Directorships, shareholdings, business registrations and filed addresses | Linking a person to companies and business interests |
| SLASingapore Land Authority | Registered property ownership | Identifying property relevant to enforcement |
| LTALand Transport Authority | Vehicle records | Identifying vehicles linked to the subject |
| CourtsJudgments & proceedings | Judgments, bankruptcy and winding-up records, litigation history | Spotting other creditors and existing enforcement |
| OSINTOpen-source intelligence | News, directories, published and public social media content | Lifestyle indicators, business activity, overseas links |
| FieldLawful enquiries | Observation in public places; address and business verification | Confirming where someone lives or operates |
| Not accessedWithout legal authority | Bank accounts, CPF, telco and other private records | After judgment, your lawyer can advise on court-ordered disclosure |
Record availability varies by source and purpose, and some searches are chargeable. We’re not a law firm — your lawyer will advise on enforcement options under the Rules of Court.

FAQ
Litigation support & asset tracing: common questions
What does litigation support from a private investigator involve in Singapore?
A licensed investigator gathers and documents the facts your legal team needs: locating defendants and witnesses, taking voluntary statements, facilitating process serving, tracing assets through official records, observing in public places and examining devices you lawfully own. Ranger prepares affidavit-ready reports with a clear chain of custody.
How does asset tracing work in Singapore?
We build a picture of a person’s or company’s assets from lawful sources — ACRA directorship and shareholding records, Singapore Land Authority property records, LTA vehicle records, court judgments and open-source intelligence — and verify it with field enquiries where useful. Findings are documented so your lawyer can decide on enforcement.
Can you find someone’s bank accounts or CPF balance?
No. We do not access private financial accounts, CPF or telco records without legal authority — doing so would be unlawful. We identify lawful indicators of assets and means. After judgment, your lawyer can advise on court processes that compel disclosure. We’re not a law firm, so please speak to your lawyer.
Do you serve court documents (process serving) in Singapore?
We facilitate process serving; we do not serve court documents ourselves. We locate the person to be served, verify their current address and when they are likely to be there, and coordinate with your solicitor’s appointed process server. Our findings are documented with the date, time and place to support an affidavit of service where required. If the person still can’t be found, this record helps your lawyer consider alternatives such as substituted service.
Will your evidence be accepted in court?
Admissibility is always for the court to decide. What we control is how evidence is gathered and kept: lawfully, time-stamped, with a documented chain of custody and a report written to be exhibited. Our investigators can support your legal team, including giving evidence where required.
Is digital forensics legal in Singapore?
Yes, when it is carried out on devices the client lawfully owns or is authorised to access — for example company laptops and phones. We recover deleted files, examine devices and document digital fraud or data breaches. We never access anyone else’s device or accounts; that could breach the Computer Misuse Act.
Can you trace a debtor or witness who has left Singapore?
Often, yes. We extend enquiries overseas through vetted, licensed partner agencies across Asia and beyond, with Ranger as your single point of contact and one consolidated report.
How much does litigation support or asset tracing cost?
It depends on scope: how many subjects and jurisdictions, which sources, whether field work is needed and the reporting standard required. After a confidential discussion we provide a written quotation before any work starts.
