Executive protection, or close protection, is planned and discreet personal security for executives, VIPs and visiting delegations. In Singapore it is provided by SPF-licensed, unarmed security officers whose strength is preparation: advance reconnaissance of venues and routes, realistic timings, liaison with hotels and venues, and low-key escort that avoids trouble rather than confronting it.
Our officers are unarmed. Protection in Singapore is about planning, awareness and de-escalation — and working with the police when it matters.

Itineraries, identities and plans are shared only with the officers who need them.
Blend in, don’t stand out

Advance work, timing and route choice keep problems at a distance.
De-escalate first
Calm words, distance and a planned exit resolve almost everything. Officers are unarmed and act within the law.

Within the law
What our protection officers do — and won’t do
Licensed, unarmed officers protect through planning, awareness and liaison. Here is where we draw the line.
What our protection officers do
- Plan routes, timings and venues, and walk them in advance
- Escort the principal discreetly and keep a comfortable distance from crowds
- Liaise with hotel and venue security, organisers and drivers
- De-escalate, create distance and move the principal away from trouble
- Call the police (999) or SCDF (995) when needed, and cooperate fully
- Keep itineraries and identities confidential under the PDPA
What our protection officers won’t do
- Carry firearms or weapons — our officers are unarmed
- Use force beyond what the law allows
- Claim police powers, or push through the public or the press
- Follow, track or surveil third parties for the principal
- Intimidate or harass anyone on a client’s behalf
- Disclose who we protect, or where they are going
Singapore context
Executive protection in Singapore: what to know
A plain-English guide. We’re not a law firm — for legal questions, speak to your lawyer or the relevant authority.
- Licensed — and unarmed
- Security agencies and officers in Singapore must be licensed by the Singapore Police Force under the Private Security Industry Act. Private security officers do not carry firearms — so choose a provider for its planning, not its bravado.
- A safe city, with different risks
- Singapore is generally regarded as a very safe city. Protection here is mostly about privacy, punctuality, crowds and unwanted attention — not firepower.
- Changi, hotels & venues
- Meet and greets take place in public arrival areas under the airport’s rules; hotels and venues have their own security teams. We coordinate with them rather than working around them.
- Public appearances
- Launches, conferences and concerts bring crowds and media. Close protection works best alongside event security that controls access and flow.
- PDPA & confidentiality
- Itineraries and guest details are personal data. We collect only what the protection plan needs, restrict access and agree retention with you.
- Threats & harassment
- Specific threats should be reported to the police. The Protection from Harassment Act (POHA) offers legal remedies; our investigators can help document incidents — speak to your lawyer on legal options.

FAQ
Executive protection & bodyguards in Singapore: common questions
Are bodyguards in Singapore armed?
No. Our executive protection officers are licensed by the Singapore Police Force and unarmed — private security officers in Singapore do not carry firearms. Good close protection relies on advance planning, awareness, positioning and calm de-escalation, and on working with the police when needed.
How much do executive protection or bodyguard services cost in Singapore?
It depends on the itinerary, the number of officers and hours, the amount of advance work (venue and route reconnaissance), transport coordination and any add-ons such as bug sweeps. After a confidential discussion we propose a protection plan and a clear quotation.
Do we really need executive protection in a safe city like Singapore?
Singapore is generally regarded as a very safe city, so most protection work here is about privacy, punctuality and avoiding unwanted attention — for example with a high public profile, a contentious meeting, a crowded public appearance, or a delegation that is new to the city. Where there are specific threats, we also recommend reporting them to the police.
Can you meet our executive or VIP at Changi Airport?
Yes. We arrange a discreet meet and greet in the public arrival area, coordinate with your chauffeur or car provider, and time the transfer against the flight — working within the airport’s rules.
Do you provide secure vehicles?
We coordinate secure transport with your chosen chauffeur, hotel or car provider — agreeing pick-up points, routes, timings and alternates — so the vehicle and the protection detail work as one.
How far in advance should we book?
As early as you can. Advance reconnaissance of venues and routes takes time and makes the biggest difference. Shorter-notice requests are sometimes possible, depending on the itinerary and availability.
Can you check a hotel suite or boardroom for listening devices?
Yes. Our licensed TSCM team can sweep suites, meeting rooms and vehicles for hidden microphones, cameras and trackers, with the consent of the lawful occupant. See bug sweeping (TSCM).
How do you keep our itinerary and the principal’s identity confidential?
Itineraries are shared strictly on a need-to-know basis, personal data is handled under the PDPA, and confidentiality terms can be agreed before details are shared. Our online planner never asks for names.
